THE CIVIL RIGHTS TRIP WAS AMAZING
Our students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade and their teachers just returned from a Civil Rights study tour through the southern United States. It was a rich 12 days where we connected with some amazing people.
Thank you to all of you who helped make this trip possible. We look forward to sharing our photos and our stories with you soon.
Every three years, 25 students and their teachers board a bus, and travel 3,000 miles through 8 states to learn from dozens of social justice activists who made profound changes when they were young.
We know that this trip makes a difference in the lives of students and their families and our entire community. Listening to stories from people who have been activists since they were young deepens a student's sense of what is possible. It helps instill the belief that children have the power to change the world.
Thank you for your contributions!
We would love to hear from you.
