September 18-24 is "One Read Week" in Minneapolis.  This year's selection, Spirit Car by Diane Wilson, was chosen specifically to mark the 150th anniversary of the Dakota War and spur frank discussions of its legacy.

Garrison Keillor and Wilson will be discussing the book at 7:00 PM on Monday, the 24th at the Minneapolis Convention Center.  We have two free tickets to be used by any Southside Family student or parent.  Please call Toni, or e-mail  toni [at] southsidefamilyschool.org if you'd like to attend.  Metro Transit is also providing free passes to the event, download directly from the One Read web site http://oneminneapolisoneread.com/
